Biography
Emily is an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) behavior technician working with children and youth diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She is pursuing a pre-med undergraduate degree at Grand Valley State University in Biomedical Science and Behavior Neuroscience. Upon completion of her degree, she hopes to attend medical school and become a doctor.
Emily shares her passion for working with children with her mom who is a special education teacher. Emily grew up helping in her mom’s classroom and has also participated in the peer-to-peer program when she was in high school. She enjoys being able to help kids develop important skills, seeing them grow, and advocating for them. In her free time, Emily enjoys her work in critical care medicine, coaching Girls on the Run, hanging out with friends and loved ones, reading, and staying active.
