Biography
Jacklyn developed an early passion for supporting youth and families. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Aquinas College and her graduate degree in Social Work at Western Michigan University, gaining experience in both clinical and community-based settings. She has worked extensively with children and adolescents in individual and family therapy, helping clients build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and foster healthier relationships.
Jacklyn is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed care across the lifespan. She also incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills into her work and provides trauma-informed parenting support. As a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC-DP), she brings expertise in supporting clients with substance use concerns. Her approach is strengths-based and grounded in evidence-based practices, empowering clients to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and self-compassion.
Outside of her clinical work, Jacklyn grew up wanting to be a singer or performer and even worked as a character performer at Walt Disney World. She has taken that passion for performing and music into her daily life and practice, and enjoys reading, going to coffee shops, attending musicals, and listening to music.
